APA Recognizes the River Park’s Commitment to Community Voices

We continue to be honored by national recognition of our activities empowering the entire community in the park-making process. Most recently, the American Planning Association, whose mission is to elevate and unite diverse planning, featured us in The Art of Listening: How Creativity Helped Shape Petaluma River Park. Not only does the piece highlight Poets to Parkmakers and how art as a planning method can reveal what more traditional methods miss, it also notes our Community Park Designer program, and the many ways we’re keeping the magic going since sharing the Concept Plan with the community last spring.
