Come stroll, shop, savor, and soak up the energy of the season at the debut of Spring by the River Market—our first ever intergenerational community marketplace celebrating the Spring Equinox!
From sweet treats to artisanal coffee and juices, painted alebrijes to hand-crafted artworks and jewelry, custom bouquets to self-care products, plus face-painting, family portraits, multi-cultural performances, and much more! This is just a taste of what Petaluma River Park Foundation and our Community Park Designers have in store!

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!
Getting Here
Since parking is extremely limited—and we’re obviously keen on green—we strongly recommend walking, biking or public transportation.
👟 By Foot: The park entrance is at the intersection of Copeland and East D Streets, in central Petaluma.
🚲 By Bike: Pedal over and lock up at the racks in front of the park entrance.
🚎 By Public Transportation: The park is a short, ¼-mile walk from:
Petaluma SMART Train station at 200 Lakeville Street
Petaluma Transit Routes 10 or 11—Copeland Street stop
And LumaGo will take you right to the park!
What to Bring
Your wallet—for lots of yummy items and beautiful handmade goods!
A partner, a friend, your grandmother, your kids! Did we mention the FREE portraits?
Sunscreen, hats, water, picnic blankets, and comfortable shoes. (Mud alert if it rained the day before.)
Fido! Dogs are always welcome, as long as pup stays on leash.
A Few More Details
Paths and parking will be very limited access while we’re setting up that morning.
We love birds at the park, but please no early birds to the event.
There are two accessible portable restrooms—one near the central gathering area and one near the David Yearsley River Heritage Center.
The perimeter trail is off-road wheelchair and stroller accessible.
It’s looking like a sunny day—note that shade is limited.
EVENT VOLUNTEERS
We need volunteers for this all-hands-on-deck event! Responsibilities include set-up and break-down, greeting and familiarizing visitors with the Petaluma River Park project, and supporting some of our family-friendly activities.
